Alligator bites off part of woman’s arm

Another #AlligatorAttack in Florida left a woman without a limb. Between 1948 and November 2012, the@FloridaFishandWildlifeCommission recorded 348 alligator attacks on people. What to do when this occurs? @drbadia, CEO and Chief Medical Officer of @OrthoNOW, suggests:

  1. Control the bleeding by using a shirt or belt as a tourniquet.
  2. Place amputated limb in a moist towel or shirt and place it in a bag, and then into ice.
  3. Seek immediate healthcare.
